Few Disputes Reflect Employee Satisfaction

Compared to litigation in the Oklahoma (and most other state's) workers' compensation system, there has been relatively little litigation under the Oklahoma Option.  The Oklahoma Supreme Court has twice rejected constitutional challenges to the Oklahoma Option law. There are now only four Oklahoma Option cases pending, three at the Oklahoma Workers' Compensation Commission and one at state district court.  The employees in all four cases received injury benefit plan payments until physicians determined that they required no further medical care for the reported work injuries.  Click here for further Oklahoma Option Litigation Update.
